Range & Accuracy
- Reflective: 1000 yards
- Tree: 600 yards
- Flag: 300 yards
It has exceptional distance accuracy, all distances measured are 100% accurate to a yard either side. While some golfers prefer to use a GPS range finder, it is simply not as accurate as laser range finder. Many people who have used the Tour V2 have reported that it is around 10 yards more accurate than similarly priced GPS rangefinders.
Magnification
The magnification of the Bushnell Tour V2 is 5x, which is slightly lower than other models available, but 5x is more than adequate considering the maximum range for flags is 300 yards. Also take into account that the higher the magnification, the steadier you need to hold the rangefinder, otherwise you won’t get a clear image, this isn’t a problem with the Tour V2.
Operational Modes
Scan Mode – The scan mode allows you to measure the distances of any objects that the rangefinder scans across. It automically locks onto targets and updates distances as it scans, this is perfect for quickly measuring multiple objects.
Pinseeker Mode – This is a fantastic feature and it allows you to simply measure the distance of the flag, without surrounding objects interfering at all. This completely eliminates the problem of accidentally measuring the distance of something near a flag, when you actually want to measure the distance of the flag.
Slope Mode – The slope mode comes with all Slope Edition models, and it allows you to accurately measure distances even when you are looking uphill or downhill. It helps you to decide how to play shots, as you’ll know whether to play short or long.
Ease Of Use
The Bushnell Tour V2 is extremely small and lightweight, making it comfortable to carry around, whether that’s in your pocket or in the clip-on carry case that is included. The carry case is great as it offers sufficient protection and it can easily clip onto your golf bag.
The Tour V2 itself is very robust, it won’t be affected at all if you drop it on the green. It’s also completely waterproof, so if you’re golfing during bad weather then you won’t need to worry about rain damaging your Tour V2. It is also comfortable to hold, the rubber grip makes it easy to keep steady, with either one or two hands.
Our Opinion Of The Bushnell Tour V2
We highly recommend the Bushnell Tour V2, it has everything you would want from a laser range finder and it is probably the most popular rangefinder currently available on the market. In terms of price, it is fantastic value for money and easily the best range finder at it’s price point, it is currently availabe on Amazon for around $300.
